Small stories of how it all went along

Li-Lops

Three things that catch people’s attention about Liam, it was his height (how long his limbs are) , his happy personality and his cute chinese face. I remember at the mall, there were some strangers who wants to take photos of him. Often you will hear, “ang cutre naman.” but behind that happy, smiling facade is grit and fearlessness. He is brave and when he gets mad it can be a bit scary. He will not back down from his very strong brother and is willing to fight an eye for an eye.

He is also dependable and willing to help out. He is happy to pick, get stuff , and find things but just don’t get him angry.

Yes, like most kids he will fight,  kinda throw tantrums and fake cries too but they are quite mellow compared to Kenzo’s.

Lately, he learned a new word “boriiiiinng” and he would say it when he is with someone or a place, things that he don’t like. He blurts “it is boriiiiing” everytime he feels like it and it can be embarrassing if it was said too loud.

OLPMC

Yesterday we enrolled Liam to his first big school at OLPMC. Just like what Ken  had,  it is a Montessori program. It is very near our house and I am excited on how he will perform. Liam, unlike ‘Kuku’, is socialable, he likes to be in the middle of the scene and often happy to entertain I am sure it is not gonna be an issue for him to blend in. When Ken started school it was difficult because he was anxious and uneasy. It took him about a year to slowly adjust.

Kenzo’s montessori was at JMS but since we already moved( or about to move house) we cannot enroll Li  at JMS anymore. We kinda like JMS because Kenzo had really good time there and we are happy on how Kenzo developed into what he is now but due to distance we just have to choose the next best one.

When we get off the car to enroll him, Liam saw the school basketball poster and immediately he liked the school. When we toured the premises the last one we saw was the basketball court, when we got there he was looking for the ball and planned to throw some hoops, he maybe immediately liked the school because of it.

Liam’s first day is gonna be exciting and hopefully all will be all right.

Grade 1

In 3 days it is over. It really feels like Kenzo started grade 1 just a few weeks ago. I cannot believe that was a year already. I remember a bit lost on how to get Ken everyday, where to park was my issue at the start. My first parking spot was at the highschool department which is a few meters walk from his classroom. Then I found a spot on the right side of PGS rooms but after a month they forbade staying there. Then I was able to get the right time to get there and still get a parking spot.

I still cannot believe it that in 3 days he will be saying good bye to first grade, it seems too fast. His first grade was great, he got nice grades, he was always prompt, never lazy going to school or failed to do his homework,  overall it was good for him. Except one instance where his classmates mock him and he cried going home. That was tough on me and him.

His grades was good and if he will perform well on his 2 final long test he will end up having good grades. So, one year of grade school was done and 11 more to go. Good job Ken!
